Episode 5 – Knowledge, Skills & Behaviors

The Army must be able to identify a Soldier’s talent if it is to build a 21st Century Talent Management system. LTC Greg Lockhart discusses how Soldiers and units can use the Army’s Knowledge, Skills, and Behavior list in order to put the right Soldier in the right assignment.

Episode 4 – Career Intermission Program

The Career Intermission Program became a permanent Army program in May 2021. In this episode go into some of the specifics of the history of the program, what are the key benefits of it, and most importantly who can or should consider it as a career option. We have special guest MAJ Jed Hudson, the lead action officer for CIP to help discuss.

Episode 3 – Enlisted Talent Management

The Talent Management Task Force discuss a broad range of topics that affect non-commissioned officers and enlisted Soldiers on this months Podcast episode. We also welcome special guest CSM Todd Sims, US Forces Command (FORSCOM) Command Sergeant Major (CSM), and SGM Robert Haynie, the Army Talent Management Task Force (ATMTF) SGM. to share their thoughts on how these enlisted initiatives will change the Army for the better over time. Topics include introduction of the 1SG Talent Alignment Assessment (1TAA), to the full scaling of Sergeants Majors Assessment Program (SMAP) to take place this fall with BDE CSMs.

Episode 2 – The CAP Experience: Feedback, Reflection, and Army Coaching

In this episode, we welcome back the director of the Command Assessment Program (CAP), COL Bob O’Brien to discuss the feedback candidates receive while attending their respective CAP programs. We also welcome special guest, LTC Joe Byerly, founder of “From the Green Notebook” to gain his insights on the benefits of the program for leaders. Lastly, we discuss how the Army is investing in these leaders with executive coaching with guest LTC Christine Baker.
