The Cyber Direct Commissioning Program provides an opportunity for professionals with exquisite cyber-focused technical skills and talents to be directly appointed into the Army’s Cyber Corps. Even without previous military experience, you may be eligible for a fast-track leadership role as a Cyber Officer in the Army National Guard, earning a commission in the ranks of Lieutenant through Colonel, based on a combination of your Cyber/technical expertise, experience, and education.

If you meet one of our Army Cyber Corps’ skill/talent gap needs, your extensive experience and education will be used to secure and defend our nation in and through cyberspace. In other words, you'll use your technical skill set to enable the Army’s Cyber Forces in performing critical, complex, real-time, real-world offensive or defensive cyberspace operations.
- Be a United States citizen; applicants with dual citizenship status are ineligible.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in relevant STEM field and/or advanced-level cyber-related industry certifications.
- At least six years of documented experience in two or more specified disciplines, including:
- Windows OS enterprise environments
- Linux OS and networking concepts
- Internet of things security
- Vulnerability assessments
- Penetration testing
- Advanced digital forensics
- Incident response leadership
- Networking device configuration and security
- ICS/SCADA protocols
- Advanced programming experience
- Software, application, frontend/backend, or database engineering
- Possesses excellent written and oral communication skills with strong attention to detail and the ability to explain complex technical concepts to senior leaders or executives.
- Proven ability to lead a team or organization in a fast-paced environment engaged in enterprise-level operations.
- Pass an Army medical physical and meet basic fitness standards.
- Currently in compliance with DoD Directive 8140.01 IAM Level 3
- Ability to obtain a Top Secret (TS) / Sensitive Compartmented Information(SCI) Clearance
Army National Guard positions currently exist for experienced personnel in the following field; however, requirements vary throughout the year, which means some positions may not be available at all times, while other new positions may become available.
Possess at least a Bachelor's degree in specified STEM fields, such as computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, data science, etc.
