Position title
Army Engineer Officer
Announcement

New Direct Commissioning Application will be posted by the end of December 2024.

Description

Engineer Officers are mentally and physically tough, articulate, and highly effective team builders. They are problem solvers, quality communicators, detail-focused, analytical, logical, innovative, and physically fit. Engineer leaders determine requirements, develop work processes, choose between best practices and unorthodox approaches, and reach solutions to difficult problems.

Engineer forces analyze, visualize, shape, and help control physical terrain by emplacing obstacles, developing engagement areas and battle positions, building bridges, constructing base camps, and improving infrastructure to allow our maneuver forces to maintain the advantage over the enemy on the battlefield.

Engineer leaders and units, at every level, strive to be multi-functional with the ability to expertly facilitate operations in multiple domains, including contested areas, to deter potential adversaries and, should deterrence fail, rapidly defeat them.
